Rich Fields, works by Proxy that explore architectural form-making in the context of infinitely divisible conditions. Generated through simulation and mathematical equations, each image actively explores thresholds of resolution and sampling in the determination of extreme fineness, both in surface and patterning. As part of the ScriptedByPurpose (link) at the F.U.E.L. Collection Gallery (link) , Proxy generated four images that showed both the technological innovation inherent in each project as well as the multitude of iterations (here shown as "search spaces") that were used to select the most desirable outcome.

Tissue Topologies is invested in the manipulation of mathematical equations to produce a "rich field" in which infinite detail resides. The tissue-like surfaces are generated by a customized meshing algorithm that looks for subtle threshold shifts within the field. The field is actively stretched to produce an unfurling of space and topology.

From a collaboration with Marble Fairbanks Architects, the wave interference algorithm processes data obtained from an acoustic simulation to work with existing sound patterns in a public lecture room. The perforation patterns that emerge are not only highly complex and graphic, but are working to contingently provide sound baffling.
